The wine gladdens the heart of man!

Wine and pleasure along the Danube

Culinary events along the Danube

The grapes love the gentle influence of the Danube. That is why the Danube regions from Regensburg to Budapest are rich in wine-growing areas. The Romans already knew how to appreciate wine. Vinum laetificat cor hominis! - Wine gladdens the heart of man! Wine was an integral part of the everyday life of the Romans. The knowledge of how to prepare wine and the different grape varieties themselves were spread by the Romans throughout history along the Limes and throughout Europe. In spring, winegrowers open their doors to their cellars and invite visitors to taste the young wines. A culinary journey to the Danube regions is well worth it.
