Hungarian State Opera House
Hungarian State Opera House
The Hungarian State Opera House is one of the most beautiful buildings of its kind in the world. Funded in part by Emperor Franz Joseph and opened in 1884, it has had the best acoustics in Europe since 1970 after La Scala in Milan and the Paris Opera. Sixteen statues of famous composers, including Beethoven, Mozart, Verdi and Tchaikovsky, look down on visitors. And Franz Liszt is naturally among them as well.
