Schönbrunn Zoo
Schönbrunn Zoo is the oldest continually operating zoo in the world and has already been named the best zoo in Europe four times. In summer 1752, Emperor Francis I, Maria Theresa’s husband, showed his noble guests into the newly erected menagerie in Schönbrunn Castle Park for the first time. The world’s oldest zoo has continued to exist in Vienna since then.
