Starhemberg Castle
The castle of Eferding, which has been the property of the princely family of Starhemberg for centuries, is located in one of the oldest towns in Austria. This historical site, in which the architecture and styles of various epochs blend seamlessly with one another, seems to have been nearly predestined to house a cultural centre. Since 1987, the Eferding Cultural Institute has laid the groundwork for numerous cultural events, including concerts, exhibitions, conferences, presentations, weddings, receptions and the now-traditional Advent celebration at Eferding Castle.
