Marchegg Castle - Myth - Ottokar and Adebar

The stork colony in Marchegg offers a concentrated nature experience: For more than a hundred years, one of Europe's largest stork colonies has stopped in Marchegg in spring and summer. Around fifty pairs breed year after year on the oak trees in front of Marchegg Castle. The Stork House Marchegg is the information center for nature tourism in the March floodplains. Guided tours from the end of March to the end of October on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 10:30 and 14:00. Marchegg Castle is closed in 2017 due to construction work.
