St. Michael's Gate Bratislava

The elegant onion dome roof of the Michael's Gate is one of the landmarks of the city of Bratislava. The gate from the 14th century is considered the only preserved gate of the city fortification and today houses the Museum of Arms. From the upper terrace of the 51-meter-high tower above the Michaelmas Gate, one can enjoy an enchanting panoramic view of the castle, the Old Town, roofs and towers of the city, as well as of a villa district situated on the hilly foothills of the Little Carpathians. The museum can be visited daily except Mondays between 10.00 - 17.00, Saturdays and Sundays between 11.00 - 18.00.
