Linz Castle and Museum
Linz Castle and Museum
Linz Castle dominates the skyline above the city. Combining historic and modern architecture, this point of interest is also home to a restaurant and the castle museum. Visitors can experience Upper Austria’s natural, cultural and technological history on an area measuring more than 18,000 square metres. As Austria’s largest universal museum, the Castle Museum in Linz offers a programme for the entire family. Large exhibitions focusing on regional and international topics are hosted each year in addition to the museum’s permanent exhibition. Linz Castle is one of the oldest sites of interest in Linz and is the gem of Linz’s historic Old Town centre, which is located just a few hundred metres from the Danube.
