The Vienna Prater

Fairground for many, place of nostalgic dreams for some, green oasis for almost everyone - and location of the Ferris wheel, one of the most famous Viennese landmarks. However, the world-famous Ferris wheel and several other attractions are open all year round. But the Prater is not just an amusement park. The Prater also includes the adjacent city park, which is one of the most beautiful in the world. Here, in the middle of nature in the heart of Vienna, the visitor is far away from the city. Once the Aulandschaft was a popular hunting ground of the Habsburgs. Today, visitors stroll along the main avenue, which stretches from the Praterstern to the Lusthaus, under groups of poplars past meadows and dense undergrowth.
