Bratislava castle

Bratislava castle

The castle, perched high above the city on a hill, is the dominant landmark of Bratislava. Originally the seat of the rulers, today the castle is a symbol of Bratislava and the seat of the Historical Museum. From the terrace you have a unique view of the city.

The castle was the seat of Hungarian kings, whose crown jewels were kept here. These times are presented to the visitor in the Historical Museum, where there is also the Treasury, which is open daily except Mondays from 10 am to 6 pm.
