The grapes love the gentle influence of the Danube. That is why the Danube regions from Regensburg to Budapest are also rich in wine-growing areas. Even the Romans knew how to appreciate wine. Vinum laetificat cor hominis! – Wine gladdens a humans heart! Wine was an integral part of everyday life for the Romans. The knowledge of how to prepare wine and the different grape varieties themselves were spread by the Romans throughout history along the Limes and throughout Europe. In spring, the winegrowers open their doors to their wine cellars and invite visitors to taste the young wines. A culinary journey to the Danube regions is worthwhile.

Whenever summer comes to an end, Stadtamhof looks forward to closing the event year with the wonderful wine festival. From 23-27 September 2020, there will be exquisite wines to taste, culinary delicacies for refreshment and a music programme alongside.
In 2020 Vinaria, Austria’s leading wine magazine, will once again bring the best wines and vintners as well as fine foods to the Design Center Linz with “WEIN & GENUSS Linz” on 14 and 15 February 2020.
The Wine & Art event is the highlight for wine lovers in Linz. From 3 to 5 September 2020, over 70 winegrowers will present their fine wines in the historic centre of the city.
At the Schärdinger Wine Spring on 17 April 2020, everything revolves around wine. There will be 12 locations, 12 winegrowers and 70 wines.
