10. Experience sunrises and sunsets in Budapest

Never has getting up early paid off. One of the most surprising places for sunrises is the philosopher garden on the Gellért Hill. Although this area is very popular with visitors, the garden itself is surprisingly quiet. It also serves as a regular starting point for hikes and nature trekking. Or visit the Margitsziget to experience the sunrise in Budapest. A small challenge, but worth the effort, is the drive to one of Budapest’s elevated squares before the sun comes up. The castle palace or one of the numerous viewpoints will show you how wonderful the city shines when the sun’s rays reach it.
